The President of the Nigeria shooting sports Federation, (NSSF) Brig.Gen. Londsdale Adeoye (RTD) has revealed that Nigeria is now in right standing with the leadership of both the Africa shooting sports federation,(ASSF) and the International shooting sports federations,( ISSF), declaring that the Nation now stand a very big chance to benefit tremendously from this relationships.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com in Abuja, Brig.Gen. Adeoye (RTD) noted that in view of the new relationship and ahead of the General meeting of the International Body on May 29th this month, they are full of expectation that several shooting gadgets would be approved for Nigeria, maintaining that they have particularly requested for several of the things they believe would go a long way to moving Nigeria shooting sports to another level.

“I requested for weapons, targets, jackets, others accessories, shoes and glasses we use, the standard once, then I requested for further training of my coaches, to grade C, grade B. I was en-marked for grade B course because of my performance in the grade C, it was to be paid for by the International body, but something then happened, they stopped all courses because they are bringing a new constitution,  a new education system and everything, so they suspended all educational courses for now. After the meeting on 29th we shall know when we will go for these courses

According to Gen.Adeoye, the president of the Senegal Shooting President who is a member of the International Body has already gone ahead to Germany for the all important meeting.

“The president of the Senegal shooting Federation has gone ahead to defend our request, we spoke, he told me not to worry I will move for the Black Africa. I told him it is an opportunity for him to become the president of ASSF, so go now, fight for our case before they will gone for the general meeting, he has gone to finish all the programs and if they come for the general meeting that is what they are going to vote for,” he said.
