The battle for the English Premier League will be decided between ManCity FC and Liverpool FC. Man City have the edge, experience and hunger for a piece of history is pushing them beyond the limits.

They have the opportunity of harvesting an unprecedented quadruple; one is already in the bag and they are very much in the race for the remaining three.

Liverpool FC, in recent history, have had one near miss too many with titles. The 2018/19 season is set to be another, or will it?The battle for third and fourth place is more delicately poised.

Four teams are vying for the remaining two Champions’ League spots; Arsenal FC, Tottenham FC, Man United FC and Chelsea FC. There’re six matches to go, eighteen points at stake.

Arsenal has a match at hand against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, 7th April. Presently, three points separate third place team Tottenham and sixth place team.

Which teams will qualify for Champions’ League? Which teams will slip into Europa Cup? Which team will wear the “ fourth place “ Crown? A look at the fixtures’ list for each team and points permutations will be attempted.

Arsenal FC

Eve vs Ars

Everton versus Arsenal hardly ever produces a draw. Arsenal has won majority of the matches between the two sides but suffered embarrassing 3-0 loss in April 2014 and surprise 2-1 defeat in 2016/17 season that set the tune for a spiraling collapse. This season, Arsenal won the earlier fixture at the Emirate Stadium in an unconvincing manner. Both teams have improved in recent weeks. Arsenal will pick the three points at stake with a narrow 2-3 margin.

Wat vs Ars

Watford have always been a difficult nut for Arsenal to crack. In recent matches between the sides, they have posted famous victories against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium both in the EPL and FA Cup. They also had a narrow 2-1 win in the previous season, a debatable penalty, and Tom Cleverly late winner at Vicarage Road. These strings of successes, achieved through imposition of their robust physical football prompted Watford captain, Troy Deeney to say Arsenal players lack ‘cajones’ indeed, Arsenal players lacked cajones under Wenger but not under Unai Emery. Arsenal won the home fixture and are set to do a double over their difficult opponent. Arsenal will edge it with a 1-2 win.

Ars vs Cry,  Ars vs Bri

This season, only Liverpool have won more points at home than Arsenal. They are poised to win their remaining two home matches against Crystal Palace and Brighton.

Lei vs Ars

Leicester at the King Power Stadium have always been a thorn in Arsenal’s side. Ironically, Arsenal did a double against Leicester in the 2015/16 season when Leicester won the EPL against all odds; 2-5 at the King Power Stadium and 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Leicester, have been on the ascendancy with the recent appointment of Breden Rogers, putting together a string of impressive victories. Against Arsenal, Leicester have the upper hand in their compact ground and should triumph a match weary Arsenal side.

Bur vs Ars

The league positions would be decided in April. This match would be of little consequence to the two sides. Arsenal’s Champions’ League position would have been secured and Burnley’s relegation worries over. A drab 0-0 score line at the Turf Moor is in the offing.Arsenal will finish the league on 79 points, earning 5W, 1D, 1L from their remaining seven matches.

Tottenham FC

THFC has four home matches remaining in the EPL, in their new stadium. Beginning with already relegated Huddersfield, Brighton, West Ham and closing with Everton. THFC will harvest maximum points for these matches. They will also win away at Bournemouth, losing only to Man City. They will garner 15 points from available 18 points.  Total points count for the season will be 79 points , same as Arsenal, but with inferior goal difference.

Man United FC

Man United FC has five home matches against West Ham, Man City, Chelsea, Huddersfield and Cardiff FC. Man United will triumph against all except their noisy neighbours, Man City. They will also overcome Everton FC at Goodson Park, earning a total 15 points four available 18 points. Man United will finish the league in fifth place, with 76 points.

Chelsea FC

Chelsea FC will win their remaining home matches against West Ham,Burnley and Watford. However, they will lose their away matches against Liverpool and Man United. They will finish the league tamely with a draw away at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City.Chelsea will end the league in sixth place, with 73 points.
