The emergence of Sanusi Mahmud Muhammed as the new FA Chairman of the Taraba state Football Association has been greeted with jubilation by football stake holders and football follower in Taraba.

Sanusi Mahmud emerged the Chairman Taraba state Football Association by defeating former Chairman, Timothy Pembi who stayed away from the election with other 7 delegates members by 12 votes to nothing. Though, it was said that the former FA Chairman had held another election with the seven delegates where he claimed to have return as the Chairman.

But www.theajasanews.com investigation revealed that Sanusi Mahmud board has been receiving congratulatory messages from the state government, Football clubs in the state, players Union, Referees council, coaches and match commissioners councils in the state.

The media are not left out in the celebration of the emergence of the new FA Chairman as he has been receiving invitations to appear on both the state media and the private media to discuss his plan to re-launch Taraba state football.

When www.theajasanews.com had the privilege of speaking with the new FA Chairman he expressed joy with the reception he had received so far since emerging, while promising not to disappoint them by ensuring that his board work towards bringing out Taraba state football from the unfortunate state they had found themselves.

He maintained that his first point of call is to bring together all the different factions in the state football stake holder which was created by the past board of the football association.

“The first thing we hope to do as we have assumed office is to bring together the football family in Taraba. It is when we are united that we can achieve and move football in the right direction in Taraba,”

The young and vibrant football administrator also maintained that the issue of FC Taraba is going to be uppermost in his agenda stressing that their plan is to bring back the glory days of the team.

“As I talk to you I have been invited by the players of FC Taraba for a meeting. At the meeting we hope to discuss a wide range of issues bothering on how to re-launch the team. It is really painful the current situation of the team and it is our goal to tackle whatever the problem that has held them down for so long,”

The new FA Chairman promised to have a very harmonious relationship with the government, “Yes, it is important to have a very harmonious relationship with the government, because that is the only way we can get things out of them to run football in the state. There is no way you can fight the government and expect to get the funds from them,” he stated.
