Former Minister for Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, has made a case for the embattled and now suspended University of Lagos (UNLAG) lecturer, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, to face the consequences of his behavior.

Similarly, former Minister for Education, Professor Oby Ezekwesili, has urged stakeholders in the educational sector to use Dr. Boniface as a case study to curb the menace of sexual assault in Nigerians institutions.

The duo in separate tweets on Tuesday commended the BBC for exposing the dastardly act, while calling for appropriate sanctions to the accused person.

“The “sex for admission” scandal in West African Universities which has just been exposed by @BBCWorld and @BBCAfrica is shocking.

“Is it any wonder that those that can afford it send their children to University abroad? Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu of UNILAG has a case to answer,” FFK tweeted.

Ezekwesili on her part said, “I thank you @kikimordi for that ground-breaking piece of incisive investigative work with @BBCAfrica Eye. We should push for the findings to be acted on swiftly and decisively. We must curb the menace that corrodes our society across board not just educational institutions.”
