2019/2020 FCT FA League: Dilichukwu says FA has made her proud

…….Muktar promises better next edition

As encomium continue to pour in on the FCT Football Association led by its amiable Chairman, Muktar Mohammed for the successful conduct of the 2019/2020 FCT FA league season and especially for the glamorous and colorful closing ceremony, Acting Secretary of the FCT Social Development and current Director of Sports, Chief Dilichukwu Onyeadinma says the FA has made her proud with the standard of the organization.

Dilichukwu was the special guest of honour in the final match of the league that took place at the popular Area 3 playing ground on Monday. The final match saw WACO FC trounced WINCO FC by 4 goals to 1in a highly entertaining encounter.   

“You can see for yourself, it’s a wonderful outing. You can see the crowd. When I got here I was surprised,” Onyedinma told media.

“I thought we were having an Olympics but thank God, its FCT FA League finals. I thank the FA Chairman [Muktar Mohammed] for bringing all these sponsors.

“This is one of a kind. We are happy to have chairman, we are happy to have this league,” she concluded.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com, FCT FA Chairman, Muktar Mohammed thanked all those who made the league a success promising that it has indeed set the tone for a better next edition.

His words “Am short of words, you guys have been amazing. The support you have given us made this possible, the organizing committee, the board members, of course, the mother of sports in the FCT has been behind us, the fans, teams and everybody. We started well and we finished well and as you can see, everyone is happy.

“I will give it up to everybody, it’s teamwork, and it’s never one person. I am at the top but I can tell you that everyone everybody put in hard work, commitment, support and this is the result. We all go home happy. We are looking forward to a better project later this year”

Muktar also stressed that the sponsors also played a part in making the league a success, “People talk about money but money comes if there is credibility when there is trust, there is accountability and now You can see that a lot of people are ready to partner with us because they know our track record, they see what we can do and am sure you will see more next year. You will see more of the carnival.”
