Nigeria’s former International, Femi Ajilore has hailed current Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, FAN Milk, and others who played different roles towards and during the successful hosting of the finals of the 2023 edition of the Abuja Kids Soccer League.

Ajilore noted that he is full of gratitude to Ahmed Musa for deeming it necessary to support them while noting that his kind gesture has gone a long way to re-emphasize his genuine love for grass root football development in Nigeria. He also showered encomium on Fan milk maintaining that their services on that day helped in no small way to add colours to the occasion.

The former Nigeria Dream Team player also had words of gratitude to all those who played a role in the successful hosting of the event, “We want to thank God Almighty for the Kids Soccer League, 2023 season. We thank God for making it a successful one. And of course, we could not have achieved all that without the support of some few individuals and corporate bodies like FAN Milk. They came to support us by making sure that all the kids, and all the teams that were present on that day got their products. Even our dignitaries were not left out. They were there serving everybody as if we employed them. So, we want to use this opportunity to appreciate them for contributing towards grassroots football development and for supporting what we are doing. We are indeed very grateful.

And, of course to my old friend, the current captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa. When he heard about what we were doing, and I brought some of what we needed to him, he supported us by raising some amount to put everything in place. It was a huge one for me and I was very happy for the support, and of course, I look forward to many more things we can do together to contribute to football development. So, I want to sincerely say a big thank you to him. ‘Life is turn by turn’. I remember my time with the Super Eagles we had a good time. So, I believe he has a very good memory of those times by supporting what we are doing.

And of course, my big thank you to my other big brother and Uncle Mr. Kolawole James for supporting us. Right from the very beginning, he has always been a supporting partner, and of course this year’s edition he was also an important partner who supported us all through to making sure some things too were in place, especially for the kids, so we are grateful.

And noting forgetting the dignitaries that were present right from the NFF representative, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, we sincerely appreciate his presence, and of course the father of the day, Ambassador Fanny Amu. He has always been a father figure to whatever we have been doing. And to the many other dignitaries that we cannot mention their names and to all the parents that have been so supportive by bringing their kids we are very very grateful while we look forward to many more things together in terms of football and grass root development. And of course to our media partners, The Ajasa News, AIT, and Bumi Blair of the Cool WAZOBIA, Nigeria Info FM,” he concluded.
