The 2025 Festdrine/ANSFA Anambra All Stars Football Competition is set to begin on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Awka City Stadium.
Defending champions Metu Memorial All Stars FC of Onitsha will face off against Evergreen All Stars FC of Awka in the opening match.
The competition features 27 teams divided into eight groups. – *Group A:* Metu Memorial All Stars FC (Onitsha), Evergreen All Stars FC (Awka), Cubana All Stars (Oba), Awka Capital Elites All Stars FC – *Group B:* Anambra State All Stars FC, Estate All Stars (Fegge), Great United All Stars (Awka), Uncle Ralph FC All Stars (Mgbakwu) – *Group C:* Peace FC All Stars (Awka), Prime All Stars (Awka), Adazi All Stars, Awka All Stars – *Group D:* Great Inland All Stars (Onitsha), Professionals All Stars (Awka), Obosi All Stars – *Group E:* Liberty All Stars (Atani), Unity All Stars (Ogbaru), Villa All Stars (Awka) – *Group F:* Fegge All Stars, Comprehensive Secondary School All Stars (Onitsha), Nimo All Stars – *Group G:* Nkpor Veterans All Stars, Okpoko All Stars, PJP All Stars (Awka) – *Group H:* Nnewi All Stars, Puma All Stars Army Barracks (Onitsha), Nkutaku All Stars
The winner of the competition will receive N1.5 million, while the first and second runners-up will receive N700,000 and N500,000, respectively. The Most Valuable Player (MVP), Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, and Best Behaved Team will each receive N50,000.
The competition will be played according to FIFA and IFAB rules, with two teams qualifying from each group for the Round of 16 clash. The matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays at Awka City Stadium.
The sponsor, Mr. Festus Udungwu, who was represented Mr Obinna Ndema stated that the competition aims to promote football in Anambra State and ensure its growth at all levels. The Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee (MOC), Chief Victor Aniekwena, assured that the competition will be well-organized and that all rules will be followed.
