The Northern Consensus Movement has expressed the desire of the north to lead Nigeria after Buhari’s tenure elapses in 2023.
According to a video posted by Femi Fani Kayode today, the president of the group, Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu asserted that the North will rule Nigeria for the next 4 years.
Abdullah explained that the North still has four years to stay in office.
He said Nigeria has a total population of two hundred and twenty million persons out of which North has one hundred and sixty million (160,000000).
Abdullahi however urged Northerners to pick up their voters cards and vote massively for Northerners in the 2023 elections.
He said, “I don’t see how 70,000000 million will beat 160,000000 million. We are ready for it, we believe in democracy.
We are democratic in nature, we know politics is a game of numbers. We will elect another Northern president by February 2023. We will elect a fresh Northern president that will balance the remaining four years that North has”, he said.

The majority argued that the Northern group is daring the Southerners. They however called on Nigerians to vote massively for Southern president come 2023.
