While the Nigeria U-23 team put finishing touches to their training ahead of the second leg clash against visiting Libya u-23 side, assistant captain of the team, Kelechi Nwakali has harped on the need for team work among the players.
Speaking exclusively with www.theajasanews.com in Asaba, Nwakali admitted that it was difficult playing in Tunisia where the Nigeria side lost 0-2 to the Libyans, he however noted that it is possible to upturn the result when they meet on Monday.
“The first game is gone and now we have to win the second game. I believe once we play as a team, we will qualify.”
“It was a difficult game in Tunisia and unfortunately we lost the game, but we have to fight for the team and for Nigeria.
He noted that they cannot afford to disappoint Nigerians by failing to qualify for AFCON, “Nigerians have a lot of belief in this team and we will be victorious,” he said.
