Speaking on behalf of the graduating students and peers who she refers to as future leaders, was 5-year-old Miss Ugonne Emeka Onah, who warmly welcomed all participants to the event.

“I count it an awesome privilege to deliver this speech on behalf of our future leaders of our great country Nigeria. Today as we all know is an important day for all of us who are graduating from the Nursery School to primary.” She snapped.

She continues: “It is with great pleasure and thanksgiving to God Almighty that I welcome you all to the 2024 kindergarten graduation ceremony.

“The management, Unique Brainfield Academy, Mrs. Chidinma Onumagbu, Head Teacher, Mr Linus Anona, our esteemed parents, great teachers and our very special graduands, distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen.

“Don’t we look fantastic? I think we deserve a round of applause”. She acknowledged.

In her speech, young Onah urged parents and teachers to fulfil their roles in the lives of their children. She recognized the positive influence of the teachers at Unique Brainfield School on the students’ character development and academic progress.

She also expressed gratitude to parents, whom she referred to as the driving force in a child’s life.

“Teacher Ifeoma said we worry about what a child will become tomorrow yet we forget that he/she is somebody today as a parent and teacher.

“it is your collective responsibility to guide and mould the leaders seated here today for tomorrow, I make bold to say that it is on us that the future will have to depend.” She quipped.

She continues: “Our teachers have seen us grow exponentially in kindergarten, they have guided, moulded and shaped us into who we have become today, indeed they have developed in our good study habits, moral values, reflective ability, self-discipline and the basic learning skills.

“We have learnt to respect others and take responsibility for our learning. The roles have been usually instrumental to our victory story.

“We can never have made it without you; you are wonderful and incredibly special. We have worked very hard to learn more every day; we have played hard, made new friends and also tried to be good friends.

“We have remained eager, and enthusiastic and have grown physically, socially, academically and spiritually for these and more we say Thank you.

“We are grateful to God for the management of Unique Brainfield Academy; they gave us the wings on which we soar.

“To our ever-supportive parents, words are not enough to express our gratitude to you for the roles you have played in facilitating this process. To God our King and Maker, we are forever grateful.

“Goodbye, my dear kindergarten, God bless you and thanks,” Onah concluded.

However, Mrs Chidinma Onumagbu, the school proprietress, expressed her gratitude to parents and guests during her welcome address at the event. She highlighted Unique Brainschool Academy as a distinguished academic school that provides top-notch education, ensuring value for money.

She noted that the school has maintained high standards since its establishment and has successfully competed with renowned schools like Kings and Queens in Lagos, as well as schools in Port Harcourt and Owerri.

” Unique Brainfield Academy also excelled in the NNPC-sponsored school competition, emerging victorious in two out of the ten selected schools, encompassing all schools in Abuja.

“Just last year, overall best came from this school at another competition. At a recent competition of about 100 schools under the umbrella of NAPS, Nassarawa, we also participated in that competition and the result is being awaited, which I know this school will come out excellent because I am confident in our teachers. Once the result is out, I will push it to the platform.

“I also have the pleasure of telling you that as part of the highlight of today’s graduation, is the unavailing of a book, written by one of our students, a Primary 4 student.

“We groomed students here, we give value to the investments of parents over our students in this school, and I appeal to you all to relax at this graduation ceremony as we feed you more of the results of your spending on your children at Unique Brainfield Academy graduation ceremony, 2024”. She appealed.

Meanwhile, the proprietress affirms the contributions of parents in the success story of the school. Mrs Onumagbu acknowledged that without the parents there would be no school.

“I want to continue to appreciate my amiable parents from the depth of my heart, we appreciate you; without you, there would be no Unique Brainfield Academy. We are here because of you, I count on you and thank you for the trust repose in us.

“We all know what it means to leave out your children in our cares to keep their custody as a private school while you are out there hustling for their needs, this is because you believe in us academically, morally and security-wise. I cannot thank you all enough for these, may God bless you all.

She spoke extensively about the teachers of the school and the value they have brought to the growth of students and the school:

“I will also not do without appreciating my teachers, who have been exceptional in maintaining the standard we have set for ourselves in this school.

“Without the teachers, these students will not be where they are sitting at the moment.

“Irrespective of the level of a child’s intelligence, when not sharpened or polished, it amounts to nothing, and that’s where the teachers come in.

“These teachers work relentlessly for the growth of the school and the students. They work extra both at school and home and never turn down my calls off school hours when such a need arises.

“I remain indebted to the teachers and most grateful for their perseverance and the value addition they have brought to the growth of students and our schools.” She opined.

The proprietress therefore admonishes the graduating students to live up to expectations as they proceed in their academics to other schools.

“To the graduating class of 2024, you are indeed unique children. I am appealing to you all, as you progress, to bear in mind the values for which you are brought to this level, especially those of you who are in Grade 5 and crossing over to other schools in pursuit of your secondary school education.

“I want you to maintain the unique values that set you apart from others as you move on; represent us well, don’t go to other schools and miss your good handwriting, your tenses, don’t go there to demonstrate what you are not taught here; probably where you headed may not be those schools where they flogs as we do here.

“But always remember your background and don’t kill the unique legacy we have developed in you as you proceed.

” I can assure you that the sky is your stepping stones, you are going places. You are the President of tomorrow, you are the Ministers and Commissioners of tomorrow, including the little beginners.

” I am appealing to parents to let us give the necessary support we can muster and give value to these glorious children. They are our tomorrow, and let’s lay the solid foundation we shall reap tomorrow.

“I also want to appeal to fathers, to please spend appreciable time with these children, so that they could be more familiar with you and not just the mothers alone,” Onumagbu advised.

Meanwhile, the students spanning from preschool to primary school delighted guests and supporters at the memorable graduation ceremony on Friday.

The 2024 graduating class includes students transitioning from Nursery 2 to Primary school, as well as those moving on to pursue their secondary education at other institutions.
