It was never to be for high flying Liverpool football club as visiting French side, Paris Saint-Germain secured a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals after winning a tense penalty shoot-out against Liverpool.

The match at Anfield ended in a 1-0 victory for PSG, leveling the aggregate score at 1-1 before heading into extra time and penalties.
