Sponsor of the Bocknor U-15 Football Tournament, Barrister Babatunde Akintade, and a Board Member of the FCT Football Association has expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s outcome, noting that it has achieved its goal of keeping youths positively engaged during the holidays. He pledged to continue supporting the initiative, which has produced players for national youth teams.

Organized by the Gwagwalada Football Coaches Council, this annual youth football competition aims to develop grassroots football and keep young talents engaged during school breaks.
Sheikhamdan Academy and Golden Boys Academy, two exceptional teams, will face off in the final after showcasing impressive form throughout the competition. Sheikhamdan Academy secured their spot with a 2-1 win over Ejiwumi Academy, while Golden Boys Academy dominated ECN Global Academy with a 4-1 victory in the semi-finals.
The final will be preceded by a third-place match between ECN Global Academy and Ejiwumi Academy, promising an exciting day of youth football action. Dignitaries from the FCT Football Association and FCT Coaches Association are expected to attend, highlighting the tournament’s growing importance in the Capital Territory’s football calendar.
