The People leaving with Disability, (PWD) are requesting President Mohammadu Buhari to adequately carry them along in his campaign by creating their own committee just like the women and youth committee created by the him recently.
In a release made available to www.TheAjasaNews.com, the APC National disable leader, mallam Misbahu Lawal Didi however called for patience from their members saying that their exclusion may not have been a deliberate attempt by the APC leadership but an oversight.
He charged his members to continue to have faith in the APC leadership saying that president Mohammadu Buhari administration is the first to have created a directorate for people leaving with disability in his campaign council in 2014.
He stated further that President Buhari is also the first president to appoint a Senior Special Adviser and an SA on disability matters in Nigeria.
“I believe the exclusion of person leaving with disability may be an oversight and it will be corrected in due course. I will do everything possible to ensure the party leadership and the PCC restate the people leaving with disability. We will also ensure that the persons with disability are represented like the Youth and Women.
I noticed its quite worrisome to the entire disability communities in Nigeria. I want to appeal to PWDs to continue to have faith in the party leadership and president Mohammadu Buhari,” Lawan Didi said.
