Re-elected Archery Federation President Promises 2024 Olympics appearance

The Re-elected President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Muhammed Abdullahi has set his attention on qualifying their Athletes for the 2024 Olympics Games.

In a chart with www.theajasanews.com shortly after been reelected for another four years in an election that took place at the Cultural center, Area 10 district of Abuja, Abdullahi laments that there noting he could do concerning this year’s Tokyo Olympics Games taking into consideration the Game is just picking up in the country.

While having his mind on the 2024 Olympics Games qualification, Abdullahi noted that his not losing sight of the presence noting that he plans to consolidate on the successes recorded during his first tenure and take the game of archery to the next level.

“‘We used the first four years in office to develop the game at the grassroots in search of athletes by introducing the game to our primary and secondary schools and other institutions. We are going to use the next four years to consolidate, expand the scope of the game and take it to the next level.

“The desire of every of archer is to go to the Olympics and our target is to produce athletes that will represent Nigeria at the 2024 Olympic Games,” he promised.

Abdullahi got the nod of all the delegates to return unopposed at the NAF elective congress held at the FCT Social Development Secretariat, Art and Cultural Center,  Area 10, Garki, Abuja yesterday.

Another top official Olatunji Boluji retained his position unopposed as the secretary general of the federation, while Dr Ogbonna Onyeisi and Mike Egbayelo were elected as the first and second vice presidents respectively.

Also elected into the 14-board members of the Nigeria Archery Federation (NAF) are Obisa Kin-Williams Toyin (treasurer), Abubakar Bawa (deputy secretary), Patrick Ibe (public relation officer), Faleye-Abraham Gbemisola (athlete representative), August Chigbolu (South South representative), Dr David Tukura (Club Owners representative), Joshua Adam (North East Representative) and Ayodeji Olarewaju (Nigerian Armed Forces Representative).
