Residents of Jikwoyi, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory located in the Municipal Area Council have cried fowl following the neglect of the area by those distributing both the Federal government and Federal Capital Territory Administration palliative materials.

Some residents who spoke with Theajasanews.com said they are only hearing it from the televisions and radio that palliative is provided to cushion the hardship of the President Muhammadu Buhari imposed lock down but are yet to partake in it.

A woman who said she is a mother of four and gave her name as Grace lamented that her family has suffered terribly due to the lockdown because there is no food in the house and they have no money to buy one.

She said “the stay at home Order has prevented me from going out to sell my okpa so how can I get money to buy food for my children ?”

Madam Grace argued that from the unfolding events those distributing the palliative are discriminating claiming that they are playing politics with it.

“The time of elections they came to us to ask for our votes but now they don’t know us because it is time to share food and money. It is now they know where APC people are living,” she lamented.

Corroborating the claims of madam Grace, a resident of Jikwoyi Prayer Road, Mr Abayomi wondered the area of Jikwoyi they distributed the palliative.

He said there has never been any sign of such in his area and that his friends living in both phases 4 and 3 said there was no single person who can claim to have received either food items or money.

“As I am talking to you, at Prayer Road where I am living we don’t know anything about distribution of palliative and even my friends in phases 4 and 3 also said nobody has distributed anything to them and this is the second week. It is very terrible, “he said.
