Report reaching the news room of www.theajasanews.com has it that Workers have shut down the operations of Arik Air at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The workers had threatened last week to shut down the airline’s operations this week if it continued with plans to change its name to Nigerian Eagle with fears that their fate may hang in the balance as many of their salaries were jet to be paid, among other issues.
The industrial unions that organised the shutdown are the National Union of Air Transport Employees and the Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria.
