Former Nigeria International, Femi Ajilore has hailed the organizer of the ABL SPORTS TOURNEY for providing a platform for youths in the FCT area councils to showcase their football skills.
In a chart with our correspondent in Abuja recently, Ajilore maintained that he is very proud to be considered a part of the project as an Ambassador alongside the legendary former Super Eagles captain, Kanu Nwankwo who is the tournament Global Ambassador.
The FCT FA board member spoke further, “As we are getting ready to experience one of the biggest tournament in the FCT which is tagged the ABL SPORTS TOURNAMENT that is been put together by the distinguished Adedayo Benjamin-Laniyi, I will want to commend her efforts for putting all these together.
“I am very proud and happy to be one of the Ambassadors she is bringing into the project. She has also brought in the likes of the Legendary Kanu Nwankwo who is going to be the Global Ambassador for the tournament. She also brought other prominent people like Mr. Mo Mohammed who happens to be one of the biggest football agent in the history of Nigeria football. So, these are the people she has brought together to fine-tune and see how the tournament would be a big success.
“And ofcourse, I have always known her as an Ambassador for peace and unity. She is a known woman, very hard working and very interlingent. For her to think in this direction knowing that football is a unifying factor, a means to bring people together is a great idea. What she has tried to put in place is to make sure that the six area councils in Abuja have equal chance of participating in the tournament and by so doing I think it is an opportunity to bring everybody together, to unite everyone irrespective of your ethnic background and others. So, I look forward to it.
“She has the supports of the FCT FA of which I am privilaged to be a board member. I think we are getting ready to kickstart the tournament where I believe will also provide another avenue of discovering football talents with the hope of bringing them to limelight,” he concluded.
