Former Nigerian presidential candidate, Adamu Garba, has reacted after the Nigerian Senate accepted the electronic transmission of election results.
Theajasanews reports that the adoption was not without controversy, but the presiding Senate President managed to calm down the aggrieved members. Before it was adopted in the Committee of the Whole, Former Kogi state governor, Senator Adamu Aliero, encouraged all Senators to approve the amendment in a bid to deepen democracy.
Reacting to the development, Adamu Garba took to his Facebook page to congratulate Nigerian youths.
In his words, he said; “1. INEC empowered to electronically transfer results. 2. Indirect primaries have been removed from the constitution. Congratulations to Nigerian Youth.”
