www.theajasanews.com has reliably gathered that anxiety has hit the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Olusade Adesola and other top officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports over the poor performances of Team Nigeria at the 12th Africa Games in Rabat.
A very top source of the Ministry in Rabat who did not want his name on print told our reporter that the Permanent Secretary has been so anxious, repeatedly calling to find out how many medals Team Nigeria has won.
As at Wednesday night Team Nigeria had only won unconfirmed three medals, (one gold and two bronze) at the Taekwondo event. The is situation is totally against the projection of the big wigs of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The permanent Secretary, Olusade Adesola had boasted to president Buhari that Team Nigeria was going to top the medal table at the end of the Games, which informed why huge sum of money was released to them for the preparation and participation of the Athletes at the Games.
They have suddenly realized that with the slow return of medals at the Games this may turn out to be Nigeria worst performance at the Africa Games except something miraculous happen.
