The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Dayo Israel, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on the sports economy, describing it as a practical pathway to national success. Dr. Israel made this assertion while hosting the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, at an event in Abuja.
The interactive session, “An Evening with Dikko,” aimed to engage Nigerian youths on the Renewed Hope Agenda and encourage them to pursue careers in sports. Dr. Israel emphasized the unifying power of sports and its potential to drive youth engagement.
The APC Youth Leader highlighted the government’s vision to integrate sports with education and development, with the goal of hosting major global sporting events before 2031. He expressed optimism that the Renewed Hope Agenda in sports is achievable and urged young Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunities presented.
The event provided a platform for young people to understand government policies and initiatives in sports development, scholarship opportunities, and other interventions under the Renewed Hope for Sports Programme.
