Rumors are swirling that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is poised to appoint Arabinrin Aderonke Ogunleye-Bello as the next youth minister.
According to an anonymous source, the Ekiti-born multiple-award winning Journalist and development and social worker is being considered to replace the current Youth Minister.
Arabinrin Aderonke Ogunleye-Bello is a well-known figure in the realm of youth development. For over a decade, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives across Nigeria through her non-governmental organization, FAME Foundation. She is a public speaker who has graced local and international podiums as either a keynote speaker or panelist. An influential figure in the sports ecosystem and a relevant sports stakeholder.
She has an impressive portfolio, which includes partnerships with both local and international organizations, like the United Nations and several diplomatic missions in Nigeria.
One of her notable roles was as a representative and member of the Federal Government Team for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Line Up Live Up Programme (LULU). This innovative sports-based life-skills training curriculum aims to fortify youth against crime, violence, and drug use by enhancing their personal and social skills and increasing their awareness of these risks.
Beyond her NGO work, Ogunleye-Bello has served as a Special Adviser to several high-profile Ministers in Nigeria, demonstrating her extensive experience and commitment to youth empowerment. Her intelligence, strategic thinking, and professionalism make her a standout candidate for the role of Youth Minister and have always distinguished herself amongst her peers in every capacity she has been appointed to serve. She has carried out several projects advancing youths. She was a member of the Media and Publicity and Contact and Mobilization (South West) committees of the Presidential Campaign Committee and Representative of the President-Elect, Media and Publicity Committee at the Presidential Transition Council that ushered in President Tinubu.
