Latest information reaching the news desk of www.theajasanews.com has it that there has been a little shakeup in the Nigerian Army.
It is reliably gathered that Brig. Gen. O. Nwachukwu is now the new Army spokesperson and he takes over from Brig. Gen. Mohammed Yerima who became the Army spokesperson early this year when he took over from Brig. Gen. Saghir Musa.
Brig General Onyema Nwachukwu was formerly the Director, Defence Information (DDI) a position he took over when the then DDI spokesperson, Brig.-Gen John Agim retired.
The information also has it that Maj. Gen CG. Musa has been appointed as the new Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai North East Region by the Nigerian Army. Major General CG Musa takes over from the current Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Farouk Yahaya Yahaya who left the position to become the Army chief after the death of the former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru alongside 10 others including aides and crew when the aircraft they were traveling in crashed in the northern state of Kaduna.
