Al Shabab Manama of Bahrain player, Prince Aggreh seem not happy with the current standard of the Nigeria Premier League calling on the organizers to do more to enable the players attract more invitation to the National team.

Speaking exclusively with www.theajasanews.com, the former Kano pillars player noted that the league need to improve beyond what it is now to allow its products compete favourably with the foreign based players for placements in the National team

Compering the Bahrain league with the Nigeria league, Agreh stated that much as playing in the Arab country can be difficult, he maintained that it is still better that playing in the Nigeria league.

“Life in Bahrain is good and still better than Nigeria. Although Arab football is tough and difficult and trust me it is not easy, but it is far better than playing in the Nigeria league,”

He however said that he is in the verge of leaving his current club saying that several clubs are jostling for his signature, “I am leaving the club because  I have lots of offers on ground. I am only trying to check to make sure i make the right choice because i still have the hope of returning to the Super Eagles,”

Prince Agreh praised the Shehu Dikko led League Management Company for their efforts so far but said there is still so much work to be done, “More home based players have to be invited to the national team to represent the country. Look at the ongoing AFCON, it is only one player there, which is very bad,”

“If the league is doing well the coaches will see the players to pick. In Zambia,  South Africa, Morocco and even Egypt, their league are not in Europe, they are in Africa and they are doing better than Nigeria. So we need to improve.  If we cannot be up there, at least be closer to them,” he concluded.
