Twelve promising young football teams have gathered at the NITEL Field in Lagos to compete in the highly anticipated Bayern Youth Cup Nigeria. The annual tournament, now in its seventh edition, promises to be an exciting platform for talented youngsters to showcase their skills and potentially launch their professional football careers.
Twelve teams are participating in the program, which features renowned football experts Lars Weichert, Head of International Youth Programs at Bayern Munich FC, and Diego Contento, a Bayern Legend.
This marks Diego Contento’s first visit to Nigeria, who played alongside David Alaba and won the Champions League.
