Buhari orders reopening of Seme border, three others

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the reopening of one of Nigeria most busy borders, Seme border and three others in the country.

This was part of the decisions reached at Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. They noted that while the four borders would reopen immediately others will be reopened subsequently.

The Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning Mrs Zainab Ahmed, who disclosed this after the week’s virtual FEC meeting, also said restriction on the importation of some commodities, like rice and other products, would continue to be enforced.

In addition to Seme border others include; Ilela Border in the Northwest, Mfun Border in the Southsouth and Maigatari Border in the Northwest.
