Burial Programme for HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe, Opike II Released

The families of HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Athanasius Uchendu Ndukwe, Opike II, and the entire OPI Autonomous Community in Amasiri, Afikpo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, Released the burial Programme for the late traditional ruler. He passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 70.

The funeral arrangements are as follows : a wake will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Ogo Ihie, Ezi-umeke, Amasiri, Afikpo LGA starting at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, by 10:00 a.m. at Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri, Afikpo.
A thanksgiving service will be held on 2nd March 2025, at the Catholic Church, Amasiri.

The late traditional ruler was a retired military personnel, a graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, a trained professional business manager and Petroleum Surveyor.

HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe joined the corporate World upon his voluntary retirement from the Nigerian Army.

HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe thus had a successful career in the Oil services sector in Lagos and Warri, retiring in 2014 at age 60.

His love for serving his people gave birth to his leaving Warri for his home Town Amasiri after retirement.

He was chosen as the Eze of Opi Autonomous Community, on the 20th of November, 2021 in a free, fair, and credible election.

He was presented to the Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, as well as the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as the Eze-elect.

He was duly recognized thereafter. He performed his duties in that capacity creditably well until his demise in March the 27th 2024.

HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe is survived by an aged mother, his wife, Rev Patricia Ndukwe, three children; Ndukwe Jr. Onyinyechi, and Ejike, siblings, cousins, extended family, friends, and associates.
