CAN President Commends Minister of Women Affairs for Exemplary Leadership

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), His Eminence Archbishop Daniel Chukwudumebi Okoh, has lauded the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Dr. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to women’s development in the country.

Archbishop Okoh, who led a delegation alongside his wife, Lady Ngozi Okoh-Director of the Women’s Choir paid a courtesy visit to the Minister at her office in Abuja.

During the visit, the CAN President praised Dr. Sulaiman-Ibrahim for her passion and dedication, noting that her tireless efforts have significantly advanced the cause of women and children nationwide. He described her approach to leadership as “graceful and purpose-driven,” reflecting a genuine desire to uplift society through service.

He further commended the Ministry’s strides in gender inclusion, family welfare, and empowerment, describing them as models of purposeful governance aligned with the moral and social values of the Christian community.

Lady Ngozi Okoh, in her remarks, applauded the Minister’s consistent advocacy for women’s participation in leadership and nation-building.

She also extended an invitation to Dr. Sulaiman-Ibrahim to serve as Special Guest of Honour at the National All Women Choir Conference slated for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja an event celebrating women’s unity, spirituality, and contribution to national harmony through music and service.

In her response, Dr. Sulaiman-Ibrahim expressed heartfelt appreciation to the CAN leadership for the visit and their words of encouragement.

She reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to deepening collaborations that advance the empowerment, dignity, and wellbeing of Nigerian women.
