As Nigerians celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has extended warm greetings and deep appreciation to the nation on behalf of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message, General Musa acknowledged the unwavering service, resilience, and sacrifice of the troops in defending the nation. He commended the bravery and commitment of the personnel on the frontlines, safeguarding communities, maritime domains, and borders.
The CDS emphasized that the Armed Forces stand as a symbol of unity, professionalism, and discipline, committed to upholding constitutional responsibilities, protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, and supporting civil authorities in maintaining peace and order.
General Musa urged Nigerians to continue collaborating with security forces by providing timely and credible information, promoting unity, and rejecting extremism, misinformation, and disunity. He stressed that security is a shared responsibility and that citizen support is vital to national security.
The CDS reaffirmed his commitment to deepening joint operations, improving welfare, investing in training, and leveraging technology to meet modern security challenges. He called on Nigerians to stand together to build a peaceful, prosperous, and secure nation.
“Barka da Sallah,” General Musa wished, praying that God blesses the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “We have no other country than Nigeria. Together, we shall overcome our challenges and emerge stronger as one nation under God.”
