DANA Cup: Siasia cries out for help as Financial challenge threaten SIA-ONE Academy planned trip

The chances of former Super Eagles Head Coach and Founder Sia-One Soccer Academy Samson Siasia to lead his players to represent Nigeria at the Dana Cup International Football Competition is been threatened by paucity of fund.
Siasia who has worked round the clock to prepare a strong youthful team that is capable of winning the 2019 edition of the competition in Denmark may see his hard work go down the drain if support does not come his way on time.
The former Nigeria head coach has revealed to www.theajasanews.com that 21 players and accompany officials are expected to be issued visas for the trip by the Embassy of Denmark in Abuja latest next week Tuesday.
The competition is due to commence on July 21, 2019 while Siasia in other to ensure the players do not miss the trip has been running up and down seeking for support for the trip. He is so determined to see the team participate in the International football competition which would help launch the players to the whole world.
Many top players in the world had gained recognitions while participating in this tournament a reason why Siasia is sweating and moving round to seek sponsorship for the selected players to gain this recognition by playing in the tournament.
An anxious Siasia said, “we are still waiting on our sponsors to fund the trip.
“We have borrowed money to get flight tickets, visas and insurance for the team. We did this because we know it’s always difficult to get funds on time in Nigeria.
“We are going with 21 players if no injuries before departure. We are also hoping the visas will be out on Monday or Tuesday next week.
We are using this medium to urge our sponsors to come to our aid as regards participating in this year’s Dana Cup in Denmark.
“Our major sponsors are the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Lottery Trust Fund, Irecharge , Danium Energy”, Siasia disclosed.
