Delta state LGA election: Ned Nwoko harps on free, fair and credible normination process

As the leaders of the People Democratic party, PDP in Delta state brainstorm toward having a successful local government election, Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has emphasized on the need for a free, fair and credible normination process.

Senator Nwoko stated this while making his presentation at the Delta state PDP strategic stakeholders meeting held in Asaba, the state capital of Delta state on Friday.

The Distinguish Senator also advocated for the inclusion of youths in the governance process while also harping on the need for a gender balance in the leadership.

Speaking further, “As a family, we resolved during the meeting on the need for youth inclusion in governance and the importance of gender balance in leadership. I specifically emphasized the importance of a free, fair, and credible nomination process as a pathway to success.

“In support of Chief Edwin Uzor’s view, I also emphasized the need to integrate non-indigenes into the party structure, particularly in wards with significant non-indigenous populations,” he said.

The meeting had in attendance the state Governor, His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the deputy, His Excellency Sir Monday Onyeme, the immediate past governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and many other leaders.
