The Congress of the Nigeria Cricket Federation has suspended the immediate past president of the Federation, Engr. Emeka Onyeama from all cricket activities in the country and has also referred his case to the anti grafts agencies for further investigation.
This was part of the decisions reached when the Federation met in its Annual General Meeting which took place in Abuja on Saturday.,….,…………………………………………………………………………………………………..According to the resolution of the meeting which was made available to www.TheAjasaNews.com, they noted that the decision to suspend the former president was predicated on the report of the Sadiq Elbuba led ethics committee that was saddled with the responsibility of investigating the various petitions against Engr Onyeama that bothered on maladministration and financial misappropriation………………………………………………………………………………………….. Other decisions reached at the general assembly include the ratification of the appointment of a new data and finance officer for the Federation.
The General Assembly also unanimously agreed to continue the services of the external auditor contracted by the Federation
They unanimously agreed to the amended NCF constitution, while also agreeing by majority vote to the compulsory payment of annual affiliation fees by State Cricket Associations
pending the outcome of the investigations by the anti-graft agencies.
