Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule is presently showcasing the state’s potentials at the largest mining industry gathering in Cape Town, South Africa.
Engineer Sule is currently meeting with other mining industry leaders around the world, international investors, and key government officials from across the world, at the Africa Mining Indaba in South Africa, holding from February 3-6.
Special Adviser on Investment to the Nasarawa State Governor, Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the gathering is meant to showcase the potentials and investment opportunities in Nasarawa, as well as engage investors to invest in the state.
The Governor is on the entourage of the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, who are expected to engage with different investors across the solid minerals value chain.
Following the successful hosting of the 25th anniversary of the African Mining Indaba last year, the world’s largest mining investment event continues to attract key industry stakeholders, from presidents and ministers to CEOs of major mining companies.
The theme of Optimising Growth and Investment in the Digitised Mining Economy addresses the main challenges facing the mining industry, as well as networking opportunities.
“Nasarawa State, the Home of Solid Minerals, is open for business and Engineer Sule is committed to working with the Federal Government to provide the enabling environment for the Mining Sector to thrive in Nigeria,” the SA on Investment stated.
According to available information, the conference will focus on Mining 2050 and Sustainable Development Day, with the former focusing on optimising growth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution with topics such as green and sustainable technology and strategies for digitisation.
While the Sustainable Development Day looks at from extractive to generating – mapping Africa’s mining industry towards a sustainable future, with topics which include Climate-Smart Mining: African minerals for the low-carbon future.
