Father of Former Deputy Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Victor Adekunle Adeleke passes on

Sir Anthony Ayodele Adeleke, father of Mr. Victor Adekunle Adeleke, Ambassador-designate, and former Deputy Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is currently serving in Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin, Ireland has passed on.  

The late Pa Adeleke died on Sunday 16, August, 2020 at the age of 84 in the ancient Oyo town.

 
Pa Adeleke was said to be a devoted Christian of the Catholic faith and was knighted by the late Pope John Paul II in 1991 as Knight of Saint Gregory.

The late octogenarian was the ‘Baba Ijo’ of the Catholic Cathedral of Oyo Diocese. He was a renowned teacher and School Principal with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.

He taught Physics and Mathematics in St. Charles Grammar school, Osogbo, Oranyan Grammar school, Oyo Town, Baptist High school, Ogbomoso, founding Principal, Isale Oyo Community Grammar school, Principal, St. Bernardines Grammar school, Oyo and retired as Principal at Ladigbolu Grammar school.
