The FCT Football Associatiom 2nd Vice Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Muhammed has has expressed shock over the death former Secretary General Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi who passed on early Monday after a brief illness at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
In his words, “I join millions of other followers of Nigeria football to mourn the shocking death of former NFF secretary General and executive committee member, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi.‘Skippo’ was truly committed to the growth and development of the national sport.
“His passing has left a huge vacuum at a time when the administration of the game in Nigeria has come under very close scrutiny.
“Chief Ogunjobi contributed variously as a player, who was capped by the Super Eagles, and as an experienced administrator at club level, state Football Federation and the NFF.
“As a listening and proactive chairman of the NFF technical committee, he played a big role in the Super Eagles’ qualification for the 2010 World Cup, which was the first time the global tournament was staged in Africa.
“He was an embodiment of unflinching commitment and industry for football in Nigeria and it is my prayer and hope that his legacy and what he stood for will long live on”, Muhammed prayed.
