Nigeria Government has refuted reports making the round in the social media that retirees between 1990 to 2018 are to receive a benefit of N850,000, (Eight Hundred and Fifty thousand Naira) by the department of Labor of Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement released by the Ministry of Labor and Employment on monday.
“The attention of the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment Sen. Chris Ngige has been drawn to trending online post that retirees between 1990 to 2018 are to receive a benefit of N850,000 (Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand) by department of labour of Nigeria.
“The Ministry wishes to state that this claim is false and an attempt at defrauding innocent retirees that have served the nation meritoriously.
“The general public is hereby warned to disregard this trending online post as anyone who transacts with these fraudulent individuals does so at his or her own risk
