World cup qualification ticket is the most important thing for the Flying eagles of Nigeria and we are happy to get it, according to Paul Aigbogun the head coach of Nigeria U20 team.
Speaking during the Post-match press briefing on Saturday after the Flying eagles loss to the Amajitas of South-Africa, Aigbogun said though it was sad and unfortunate to lose the second time in a row via penalties, his team took solace in the fact that they were able to pick a World Cup slot.
The former, Enyimba international and Warri Wolves sweat merchant however praised his players for a spirited fight positing that even the best players in the world miss penalties. Aigbogun said the match was part of the team’s world cup preparations promising that the technical crew will make the necessary corrections.
The Flying eagles of Nigeria lost 3-5 on penalties to the Amajitas of South Africa in the 3rd place match of the Total AFCON U20 tournament on Saturday at the Stade General Senyi Kountche in Niamey, Niger Republic. Both team however qualified for the FIFA U20 World Cup billed for Poland in May.
