This initial phase is characterized by endless hours of practice, starting in local parks or with grassroots clubs, where young talents refine their skills before eventually trying to break into professional academies.
This is the story of four young Nigerian footballers, breaking out of an Academy, known as Progressive Brazil Academy in Modakeke, Osun State, Nigeria.
For Olaniyi Adura, Aworefa Abolaji and Bello Sadiq the three will be joining Wanderers Football Club of Estwatini, why Akinpelu Sodiq will join Mbabane FC same of Eswatini.
This Academy is run by the Founder who’s also the President, Dr Samson Oderanti, a Passionate Football lovers, according to him, his prayer is to see young players succeed and earn living with football, setting up an academy like this in Modakeke is to give opportunity for young boys who may not have the opportunity to go to places like Lagos, Abuja to seek for academy to showcase their Talents.
For the Four players who has Sign for the clubs in Eswatini I can tell you that it’s a thing of joy for Us in the Academy because my prayers is for them to Succeed from there to Europe President said. Meanwhile a Seasoned Sports Manager and Consultant, Mr Babajide Odedeji says making the deal a reality for the players is a thing of joy for everyone in the academy.And this will stand as a motivation for other players in the club, who knows the next deal might just be from here to Europe and I must also Commend the President of the Academy for putting his time and resources to give Professional career to this young footballers in Modakeke.
