The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) hereby disclaims a viral fabricated video interview suspected to be AI generated, circulating on social media space, purportedly showing the Corps Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide; speaking on security actions allegedly undertaking by FRSC regarding the alleged assassination of one Kingsley Ekweme.

It is the position of the Corps to inform the public that the video is entirely false, misleading, and fabricated. The FRSC did not issue any statement or comment on any alleged assassination, and the Corps Public Education Officer did not participate in any video or interview regarding the matter; as the Corps does not operate outside it’s statutory mandate.

To this end, the Corps wishes to urge the public to disregard the video and be cautious of fake news and misinformation. The FRSC is committed to providing accurate and reliable information to the public regarding it’s corporate mandate as indicated in its vision and mission, and will not hesitate to take legal action against those responsible for spreading false information against its operations.

The Corps appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the general public regarding this matter.
