FRSC Redeploys Senior Officers to Boost Operational Efficiency Nationwide

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment and posting of senior officers across key commands and formations nationwide in a move aimed at strengthening operational delivery and leadership effectiveness.
The strategic redeployment, which takes immediate effect, is part of ongoing efforts by the FRSC management to align leadership placement with the Corps’ operational priorities, administrative needs, and evolving road safety challenges.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, the exercise is designed to reposition critical expertise, enhance oversight, and improve service delivery across the country.
Under the new postings, Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye has been moved from the Special Duties and External Relations Department (SDER) to the Department of Administration and Human Resources at the National Headquarters. Assistant Corps Marshal Godwin Omiko, PhD, formerly the Corps Project Implementation Officer, has been appointed ACM SDER at the Headquarters.
Assistant Corps Marshal A. Sanusi, fdc, previously in charge of Manpower Development and Training, has been posted as Zonal Commanding Officer, RS1 Headquarters, Kaduna, while ACM M.O. Olonisaye, formerly the Corps Safety Engineering Officer, now serves as Zonal Commanding Officer, RS2 Headquarters, Lagos.
In a related development, ACM A. Umar, erstwhile Zonal Commanding Officer, RS1 Headquarters, Kaduna, has proceeded on a course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
The redeployment also saw ACM J.W. Toby and ACM E. Odiete exchange commands between RS5 Headquarters, Benin, and RS11 Headquarters, Osogbo. ACM Y.A. Haruna has been appointed Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Federal Operations, while ACM A.K. Odeleye-Oladayo has been posted as Zonal Commanding Officer, RS8 Headquarters, Ilorin.
Similarly, ACM C.M. Onukwubiri has been redeployed from RS8 Headquarters, Ilorin, to assume duty as Corps Safety Engineering Officer at the National Headquarters. At the Corps Commander level, CC F.A. Ogidan has been appointed Corps Commander in charge of Command Administration and Strategy.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent Ibrahim and CC A.S. Ogungbemi have been posted as Sector Commanders in Adamawa and Plateau States respectively. CC S.E. Dawulung has been appointed Acting Corps Project Implementation Officer, while CC D.A. Bello now heads Special Marshals at the National Headquarters, Abuja.
The Corps Marshal has directed all affected officers to ensure seamless handing and taking over and to assume duty immediately.
Management expressed confidence that the strategic redeployment would further strengthen command efficiency, enhance service delivery, and improve institutional responsiveness in the discharge of the FRSC’s mandate nationwide.
