Former Nigeria head of state, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd) arrived at polling unit 008 at Mararaba High Court, Nasarawa State voting center at 10.30am to witness the delay in the commencement of voting.
Thousands of voters had turned up early at the voting center to carry out their civic responsibility but were shocked to see that there were no voting materials.
However, the former head of state appealed for them to be patient assuring them that they would all cast their votes for the candidate of their choice.
As at 12pm election is yet to commence, and the voters are becoming agitated but have resolved to wait for the materials to arrive.
