Nigeria quest for another glorious outing at the U-17 Africa cup of Nations failed as the Nations U-17 team was defeated by Guinea in a semi final of the ongoing U-17 AFCON match played on Wednesday.
The tension socked match saw the Nigeria team losing by 10-9 in a penalty shoot out after Eaglets left back, Ogaga Oduko lost the 10th penalty.
It was not the best of outing for the Nigeria Golden Eaglet as the Guinean dominated the Nigerian side for most part of the match played. They had a better ball possession of 53 percent as against Nigeria 47 percent.t
Though, the Chief Coach Manu Garba may not be totally disappointed with the performance of players considering that most of his top players were dropped by the MRI.
