Ifeku Island in Etsako Central local government Area of Edo state is currently overwhelmed with flood that revenge the community on Saturday after a heavy downpour that lasted for hours.

Many lives have reportedly lose due to the flooding that submerged the community.

Pained by the current situation, the Chairman of Etsako Central Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Obomighie has extended his sincere condolences to the Ifeku community amidst the devastating flood disaster they are currently experiencing.

He urgently calls on the relevant authorities to take immediate and proactive measures to prevent further loss of lives and properties in the area.

The Ifeku-island Community within Etsako Central Local Government has been overwhelmed with flooding, posing a significant threat to the lives and livelihoods of its residents.

Igbanor Anthony, Chief Press Secretary Office of the Executive Chairman Etsako Central LGA, who spoke with journalists on Sunday said the community requires urgent government intervention to mitigate the impact of the flooding and ensure the safety and well-being of its inhabitants.

Hon. Ojadi S. Ojadi, the councillor representing the affected area, has also emphasized the urgent need for government attention to address this critical situation and prevent any further harm to the residents of Ifeku.
