The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has expressed appreciation to the people of the Kwande local government area for their decision to support his candidature and ensure he wins in the 2023 general elections. He extolled them for turning up in large numbers to witness and listen to him during his one-week-long appreciation tour.
Hon. Ugbor further expressed his gratitude to them for their sacrifices and the time they have invested in the “Ugbor 2023 Fresh Ideas Project” to ensure it will come to fruition while assuring them of quality representation when voted into the green chamber of the national assembly.
The APC candidate for Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency who noted that he was humbled by the show of love and support specifically thanked the leaders of Ikurav-ya led by Elder John Ubugh, Turan led by elder Terzungwe Jenmegh, Shangev-ya led by Elder Ada Uyough, and Nanev under the leadership of Elder Terpase Adagi for unanimously speaking in affirmative concerning his candidature.
It will be recalled that during his one-week “Thank You Tour” of the Kwande local government area, Hon. Ugbor had received maternal blessings at, Tse-Akough, Div-Nzaav and at the tomb of the legendary Tor Jato-Aka. The blessings were followed by paternal bonding from the clan of Ikurav-Ya, where the three (3) council wards from the area upheld their decision to unanimously support their son irrespective of political affiliation.
Thereafter, the APC candidate Hon. Ugbor was presented to the Turan clan by his Ikurav-Ya clan. Similarly, he was later presented to the Shangev-ya and Nanev clans who also unanimously accepted to support his candidature owing to his track record of achievement in the public and private sectors as an environmental expert.
While further expressing his appreciation, Hon. Ugbor urged the Kwande/Ushongo federal constituents to remain vigilant and committed. He charged them to create more awareness amongst the people not to sell their votes as the electoral umpire has made it possible for their votes to count in 2023.
Hon. Ugbor pledged his loyalty to the people of Kwande local government area made up of 15 council wards namely; Menev, Liev 1, Liev 2, Yaav, Moon, Kumakwagh, Mbadura, Mbaikyor, Usar, Mbayoo, mbagba/Mbakyan, Township, Mbaketsa, Tondov I and Tondov II, which according to Tiv genealogy are the ICHONGO and IPUSU descendants.
He thanked them for their solidarity and support to advance his fresh ideas agenda while appealing to members of other political parties to see his candidature as a unifying moment to bring good representation to Kwande/Ushongo for the benefit of every person regardless of party affiliation.
At the various meetings, the APC candidate assured the people that he will ensure the revamping of security infrastructure in Turan and other part of the constituency, lobby the federal government to establish the free trade zone at the international boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon at the kwande axis, help improve Ishangev-ya road, exploration of solid minerals at Ikyurav-ya for community development, urban renewal at Nanev, which will Include solar projects, water, and other social amenities.
Meanwhile, Hon Terseer Ugbor will embark on a thank you visit to Mbagwa and Mata axis of Ushongo, where the Kwande Elders will in the coming week present, Hon. Terseer Ugbor to Ushongo Elders for affirmation.
