The interim President of the Nigerian Boxing Federation, Azania Omo-Agege has declared unequivocally that Lt. General Kenneth Minimah (rtd.), lacks the power to suspend him from the Nigerian Boxing Federation,(NBF).
Omo-Agege stated this while reacting to his purported suspension by Minimah and some of his fellow disgruntled board members. He stressed that a person who has been suspended by the international Boxing Association, (IBA) and whose tenure had since elapsed lacks the power to initiate or pronounce any suspension on him. He therefore declares that the so called suspension is null and void.
Omo-Agege who also doubles as the Interim President of the Africa Boxing Confederation, (AFBC) charged Nigerians to totally disregard such information, maintaining that activities of the Nigeria Boxing Federation will continue to thrive under his leadership.
He concluded by thanking well meaning Nigerians who have called to show their suports towards him in this trying period, while assuring that in no distance time everything will be back on track.
