Anyone watching the game between Chelsea and Juventus FC last night would have been left impressed with the quality of football and excitement that was on display at the Stamford Bridge Stadium.

The scoreline ended in a 4-0 win for the Blues with Academy graduates like Trevor Chalobah, Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi getting on the score sheet. The win confirmed Chelsea as participants in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League and the blues will surely be hoping to retain the trophy.

Judging from the emphatic scoreline, one can say Italian club Juventus FC played badly but the truth is that they didn’t. In fact, Max Allegri’s men tried to take the game to Chelsea but the blues are just too good for any team to play against currently.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are currently one of the most in-form teams in the world (if not the best) as they also sit comfortably at the top of the Premier League standings. They now also top their Champions League group and will most likely finish the group stages in the top spot.

Chelsea is almost perfect in every phase of play and it would be difficult to see a team with such dominant performance for a while. Chelsea made it look like an easy task to beat Juventus and the thing is, Chelsea could have scored even more.

Thomas Tuchel always demands perfection from his team and last night, he got it. It was just unfortunate that Juventus FC was the recipient of Chelsea’s perfect football which made it look like they (Juventus) played badly.

Chelsea’s dream to retain the UEFA Champions League trophy is well and truly alive and the fans would surely be hoping it comes to reality.
