KEDA MD urges Kogi Indigenes to participate more in FG Economic Stimulus Programme

The Managing Director of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni has enjoined indigenes of the state to participate in the federal government economic recovery and stimulus programme for their own benefits.

 

Specifically, she urged them to tap into the opportunities provided by the Federal government geared towards restoring the livelihoods of the poor and vulnerable and enhance Micro and Small Enterprises.

This is coming on the heels of the announcement that the NG-CARES programme has been declared effective Wednesday 28th September, 2021 nationally, a statement signed by KEDAPublic Relations Officer, Yemi Balogun said.

The statement read in part: “The NG-CARES program is an economic stimulating program aim to expand access to livelihood support and food security services as well as provide grants for the poor and vulnerable households and firms that were adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. These objectives are mapped out under three Key Result Areas.

“The objective of the three Result Area is to facilitate recovery and enhance capabilities of MSEs whose business activities have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 lockdown.

“Therefore, Micro and Small businesses who have not yet submitted their details are advised to do so as soon as possible.

“With the inclusion agenda, women and persons living with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply”.
