LPGAN CELEBRATES CHIEF NWODO @ 70, SAYS HIS PASSION FOR WOMEN GOLF CANNOT BE QUANTIFIED

Ladies Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria, LPGAN is felicitating with its Board Chairman, Chief Emmanuel  Okwesilieze Nwodo, CON, who clocks 70 on Tuesday.


In a statement signed by the founder of the Association and the first Nigeria’s Lady Golf Professional, Mrs Uloma Mbuko Ogbuokiri, the Association congratulates the former Executive Governor of Enugu State, describing him as the Pillar behind the formation of the LPGAN in Nigeria.


“When some people believed that Nigeria is not ripe to have LPGAN, because of the number of the Lady Professional Golfers we have, you believed that the formation of the Association will assist in identify those that have talents and just waiting for someone to push them out”, Mrs Uloma Mbuko  Ogbuokiri states.


While wishing the celebrant many more years in good health, she urges the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to relent even in his old age to keep assisting in the development and progress of the Ladies Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria.


The LPGAN used the occasion of 70th anniversary of its founding father, a Paediatric Surgeon per excellence to call for the safety of its members as well as Nigerians both home and Abroad in view of the Coronavirus Pandemic.


She prays that the Almighty God grant the former Enugu State Chief Executive, long life, good health and more grace to pursue and actualize his dreams of making life more meaningful for Lady Golfers in Nigeria as well as people around him.
