Ahead of the crucial quarter final match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, president of the Nigeria Association of Nigeria Professional footballers, NANPF. Tijani Babanginda and former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwon Kanu had a crucial meeting with members of the team on Tuesday.
The meeting centered mainly on getting the players to be fully focused ahead of the game, while also charging the players to give it their all and ensure they come out victorious on Wednesday.
They also used the opportinity to share their experience on how they should approche a top matches like the Wednesday match. It was indeed a successful meeting.
Tijani Babanginda used the opportinity to encourage the players to be involved in the activities of the Nigeria players Union, explaining that their involvement would go a long way to strengthen the Union .
NANPF president expressed satisfaction with the meeting stressing that they was able to create a bond with the players. He note that the players are rearing to go to demolish the Bafana Bafana.
Both former players of Super Eagles along side Austin Okocha were appionted the team ambassadors to the Nations cup in Egypt by Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnibk, and the meeting was part of their role in the team.
