National Archery Championship- Chigbolu hails Athletes professionalism

Board member of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu has hailed the professionalism of the Athletes that participated at the just concluded 2nd edition of the National Archery Championship.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com, Chigbolu also expressed satisfaction with the performance displayed during the event noting that the game of Archery has really progressed in the country and the Athletes are now ready to launch into the International scene.

Chigbolu assured that the current Nigeria Archery Federation board led Mohammed Baba Abdullahi will not rest in their efforts to ensuring that the game of Archery is spread across the length and breadth of the country.

“We are very happy that we have pull this one through. At least we now have a list of National team players whom we are going to nurture and ensure that they begin to participate at international championships. Kudos to my president, and my other collogues board members,”

The Abuja event attracted about 125 Athletes and officials for the championship which took place between the 21st to the 26th of June, 2021 at the Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja.

Teams from States, Clubs and affiliated Institutions such as the Police, Army, Navy, Airforce, Immigration, Correctional Service, Road Safety slugged it out in the highly competitive championship and at the end the Nigeria Police came top.

I salute the champions, the Nigeria Police, and all the affiliated Institutions and others teams that participated. We are proud of them all, and we wish them the very best in their future endeavor.
