The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Cross River State Chapter, has congratulated Mr. Nsa Gill on his emergence as the Chairman of the Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) after a keenly contested election.
This was made known through a congratulatory message signed by the NAWOJ Chairperson, Cross Rover State Chapter, Mrs. Umo Basi-Edet.
Basi-Edet described the outcome of the election as a reflection of the choice of journalists and media professionals across the different chapels in the state.
She noted that Gill is a thorough-bred journalist, who has distinguished himself in the discharge of his duties, noting that she was confident that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the NUJ in the state.
“Gill is a thoroughbred pressman who holds aloft the banner of balance, fairness, and objectivity. His devotion to the ethics of the profession is beyond doubt.” She stated.
The NAWOJ Chairperson also urged Gill to unite the NUJ and mobilize members of the union to meet their function of providing information, enlightenment, entertainment, and surveillance to the larger society.
She congratulated other officials who made it in the just concluded elections.
